Nigel Weyman, Chairman, JLT Aerospace, says, "JLT has had an office in Dubai in the Dubai International Financial Centre, since the time of its establishment and we are now delighted to be forming an aviation team and operation in the Middle East as our international reach and capabilities continue to expand.

The team includes key aviation insurance industry figures Chris Clark and Chris Subba Row who plan to capitalise on the recorded strong growth that has been seen in the Middle East in recent years."

The event will be facilitated by a panel of leading market experts from all areas of aviation insurance including underwriting, loss adjusting, legal, risk management, safety, training and disaster planning.  A number of highly regarded professionals from companies including Air France, Charles Taylor Adjusting, Gates and Partners Solicitors, Kenyon International, Airclaims, Asia Capital Re, Munich Re, Swiss Re, Dubai Airport, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers and Lloyd's of London  have already been confirmed as speakers and panellists.

Chris Clark, Partner, JLT Aerospace, says "These are exciting times in aviation insurance as airlines are predicting increased passenger numbers in 2011 and average fleet values are also predicted to rise. With recent losses we might have expected to see the market hardening however there remains good capacity and competition in the insurance market for aviation risks. JLT has over the past 18 months increased its depth of resource and distribution, creating a real alternative for insurance buyers in the Middle East. We look forward to hosting a lively and informative debate in Dubai."
