Each business contact made during the EBACE 2011 was given a token of appreciation and money was donated by Fly Aviation Services on their behalf. In addition the final figure was rounded up by Fly Aviation Services management.

Geoff Booker, Founder of Quicken Trust, said, “This is a tremendous gift that will make a significant difference to our work in the village of Kabubbu, Uganda through the ‘Special Delivery’ program to reduce maternal and infant mortality there.  This is to be part of a research project for Africa and, possibly, internationally. And the difference will be even greater as 100% of this donation will be used directly at the point-of-need. Our special thanks go not only to Fly Aviation Services who have placed their trust in our work but to the many visitors to EBACE who also took part in this initiative.”

Fly Aviation Services General Manager, George Kinj, added, “It was our pleasure to renew this initiative with Quicken Trust, knowing that through this donation we achieved our marketing targets, while simultaneously helping those in need.”

Fly Aviation Services was promoting its open approach to flight support at EBACE. The company adopts a policy of transparency and openness towards its customer operators, both in respect of operational procedures as well as when it comes to charging. When permits are issued it is stated exactly how much they are valid for and any changes in schedule within the scope of that validity are allowed by the operator. This means that there would be no unnecessary permit revalidation charges.
