The long term service contract to establish an integrated flight operations solution sees Abu Dhabi-based Etihad receive Jeppesen’s charting navigation solutions to include paper charting and access to Jeppesen eLink Online which provides web-based updated electronic terminal charts, documentation and other vital flight information.

“Jeppesen helps airlines transition from paper to digital flight information solutions and our new agreement with Etihad Airways provides future EFB solutions that reduce pilot workload and increase information and data flow efficiency,” said Thomas Wede, Jeppesen senior vice president and general manager, Aviation.

“As Etihad Airways continues to grow its international operations, we will work with them to provide data solutions that best meets their needs and the demands of an evolving commercial marketplace.”

Capt. Richard Hill, Etihad Airways chief operations officer, said "As an expanding global commercial carrier, we recognize the immediate and long-term value of the charting solutions.  “By increasing situational awareness, reducing pilot workload and improving critical data flow, we anticipate that the information solutions provided will help us achieve greater operational efficiency and reduce overall costs.”
