The programme was launched at the Dubai Airshow in November 2009 and consists of cost-effective aircraft and service solutions for start-up, mature and phase-out operators.

"Since the launch of FLYFokker a lot has happened." said Erik Goedhart, VP Marketing & Sales, Fokker Services. "It brought us new Fokker operators over the whole world like Eagles Spa, Sol de Paraguay, SKA Air & Logistics, Air Panama, Transnusa and PT Sky Aviation. All these operators made a successful Take Off with Fokker aircraft. Sixteen months after the launch, we can certainly say that this programme has contributed to the continued competitive operation of the Fokker fleet."

Geoff Silk, VP Engineering and Maintenance, Air Astana: "The Fokker 50 has proven to be a very reliable and capable workhorse for Air Astana. During six years in service it has helped Air Astana develop a cost effective feeder network across Kazakhstan in all types of weather."

The programme is used by and/or developed with key customers and strategic partners like Austrian Airlines, KLM Cityhopper, Portugalia and Denim Air.

Major vendors such as Messier Dowty, Goodrich, C&D Zodiac, Eaton Aerospace, Piedmont Aviation Component Services, and engine OEM's like Rolls-Royce and Pratt and Whitney Canada, also participate.

Now the AVISA Aviation Safety Systems along with Southern Cross have become the latest strategic partners of the programme.

The new partnership with AVISA will offer operators and aircraft owners customized Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Management Services (CAMO) to ensure fleet worthiness according to EASA standards.

"The partnership with EASA part-M approved AVISA, adds significant value through the addition of CAMO to the FLYFokker program. It combines Type Certificate engineering know-how from Fokker with the specialist EASA Part-M regulatory expertise and CAMO infrastructure of AVISA" said Goedhart.

"Collaborating with such a well known name in the aviation industry is a privilege," said Justin Goatcher, Managing Director of AVISA. "Using our expertise and knowledge combined with Fokker Services highly skilled engineering department will give customers a very valuable service."

FLYFokker comprises a package of four solutions: Take Off, Take Care, Take Over and Take Next. Start up operators can Take Off with their operation in six weeks instead of typically six months. For mature Fokker operators Take Care is a comprehensive and cohesive solution to increase Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR), reduce Direct Operating Cost (DOC) and improve passenger comfort. Operators moving to other aircraft types are supported by Fokker Services in the Take Over of the continued competitive operation of their Fokker fleet. The fourth solution is a package for a mean and lean transfer of aircraft to the next operator, called Take Next.
