Al Bateen Executive Airport set for record Grand Prix weekend

The airport can accommodate up to 70 business jets and has aircraft booked to arrive from destinations around the globe. The airport will receive VIPs, F1 Drivers, officials, and race enthusiasts eager to enjoy the final Formula 1 Grand Prix of the Season from Europe, South America, USA, Africa and Russia.
Clients arriving into Al Bateen will enjoy swift ground handling from a dedicated FBO team with the airport open 24/7 as per usual. Al Bateen’s ground handling is designed such that arriving clients can step off the aircraft and directly into the Executive Terminal to be met by a waiting chauffeur car, just metres away on the other side. From the moment the client touches down he or she can be in the heart of Abu Dhabi in a matter of a few minutes. Alternatively they could make use of Al Bateen’s spectacular FBO facilities and hospitality en route to their destination.
Al Bateen is a mere 20 minutes’ drive to the stunning new Yas Island Marina Formula 1 circuit. The Abu Dhabi Corniche, home to some of the best hotels, is just 10 minutes’ drive from the airport.
As a special incentive the executive airport is providing landing and parking services free of charge
to all executive jets (and helicopters) arriving into Abu Dhabi between 10th and 14th November 2010.
“We will be accepting a range of aircraft from all over the world, from light helicopters to Boeing 757s and will be handling many high profile visitors,” said Steve Jones, the newly appointed General Manager of Al Bateen Executive Airport, “The Ethiad Airways Grand Prix is a terrific opportunity to showcase Al Bateen Executive and demonstrate our exemplary customer service. Our dedicated hospitality team will be available to handle any on the ground requests too.”
