Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO hosts AFRAA Secretary General

The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) Secretary General, Abdérahmane Berthé, met the new Ethiopian Airlines Group chief executive officer, Mesfin Tasew Bekele in Addis for the second edition of “AFRAA Member Airline CEOs Leadership Dialogues” session.

Berthé, AFRAA Secretary General said: “AFRAA is grateful for the opportunity to have the CEOs Leadership Dialogues session with Ethiopian Airlines which is timely as Ato Mesfin Bekele takes over the leadership of Ethiopian Airlines. We have had very fruitful deliberations at this meeting that will enhance the cooperation between Ethiopian Airlines and AFRAA as well as strategic actions to ensure that African aviation continues to grow and play a much more prominent role in the world.”

“Ethiopian Airlines is one of the 15 founding members of AFRAA in 1968. A continued collaboration between Ethiopian airlines and the Association is essential for the vision of AFRAA and our membership,” Berthé added.

Through the CEO Dialogues, AFRAA engages member’s leadership with the objective of creating the space for dialogue necessary to develop transformative initiatives. AFRAA will continuously interact with the Member airlines’ decision makers towards effective implementation of added-value projects and actions supporting members’ sustainability.
