Business Aviation under the microscope in Abu Dhabi

The Middle East Business Aviation Conference 2010 supported by the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the Middle East Aerospace Consortium (MEAC) and the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) shall address the magnitude of growth being experienced in this sector and is set to take place in Abu Dhabi on the 17th and 18th of May 2010. A pre-conference workshop on ‘Introduction to IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations)’ conducted by Katherine Perfetti of IBAC shall be held on the 16th of May. IS-BAO is an industry code of practice that challenges flight departments to review their current systems, programs and procedures, recognize strengths and weaknesses in those procedures, and upgrade to a higher standard. This program has been accepted by aviation departments worldwide as the benchmark for safety and efficiency in business aircraft operations.
According to Alan Peaford, Editor of Arabian Aerospace, ‘This conference is a major step forward for the Middle East region and its business aviation community. The sector is now leading the world market in terms of growth but there are lots of challenges facing operators as the infrastructure and various national processes necessarily kept pace – things are happening, but this conference gives the industry, the regulators and other interested parties, the chance to sit down together and set common goals.’
Brad Hariharan, Project Director for the aviation lineup at Fleming Gulf, a business intelligence company which produces pioneering B2B conferences is responsible for organizing MEBAC 2010 at an exclusive location in Abu Dhabi. ‘This event is the first of its kind in the Middle East which will gather the cream of the business aviation community to tackle important issues within the region using case studies, panel discussions, special keynote addresses along with unmatched networking opportunities with key decision makers and industry leaders to give the participants an interactive, experience driven learning opportunity.’
