This is a series of early childhood development seminars that provide training to parents, teachers and caregivers in becoming adept educators and helping children maximize their potential.

"The Early Childhood Development Program embraces the concept of a holistic approach to child development   and trains teachers to maximize growth of intelligence, personality, social behavior and learning skills, which gives a child a solid foundation for the future,” said Cherryn Kelly, Project Director of Action Care. "Through Boeing's continued commitment we've been able to bring these seminars to Kuwait, Qatar and Oman where more than 200 teachers have taken part."

Boeing has supported Action Care by funding the Start Early programme in the UAE and Qatar last year, with the partnership continuing this year and growing to include Oman. The seminars have focused on the needs of young children up to six years of age and imparted best practices that can be used in a home, kindergarten and school environment. The workshop topics included learning through play, early learning techniques, character development and behavior management and communications skills.

"Boeing has a long-term commitment to community development in the Middle East and Start Early is an excellent addition to our growing Global Corporate Citizenship programme," said Jeffrey Johnson, president of Boeing Middle East. "By focusing training on parents and teachers we can increase the impact and sustainability of the projects we support which have tangible results for communities around the region."

Abdala Asmial AL Kandir, Director of Kuwait Teachers’ Society   said: ' Learning through Play is a new method for children’s education as it follows the steps of natural development in children and enhances their abilities while refining the characteristics that are essential for early development. ”We are certain that the seminars will have a positive effect, developing the skills of our teachers and we hope that they will utilize the techniques they have learnt within our education system for the benefit of our children.”
