BIAS 2022 announces conference forums

The Bahrain International Airshow 2022 has announced four ‘ground-breaking’ forums each featuring a variety of keynote and panel sessions.

 

Organised by the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Airforce in association with Farnborough International, the event is set to take place 9-11 November at Sakhir Airbase. 

The BIAS Conferences will take place on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 November.

The 2022 programme will host four forums across two days in two theatres. Each forum will feature a variety of keynote and panel sessions:

Airlines & Leaders
Thursday, 10 November, Theatre 1

The Airlines & Leaders Forum will open with a Keynote and will be followed by 2 panel sessions exploring the path to NetZero and innovating the future.

Space
Thursday, 10 November, Theatre 2

The topic of conversation focuses on Space with an opening Keynote and panel sessions exploring entrepreneurship opportunities and engaging future generations.

Women in Aviation
Friday, 11  November, Theatre 1

The Women in Aviation Forum will open with a session setting out the case for gender and generational equality. A Keynote speech then focuses on STEM students and MENA’S post-COVID recovery and is followed up by a panel about breaking down the barriers for women in aerospace.

Cargo and Logistics
Friday, 11  November, Theatre 2

On Friday, Theatre 2 will host the Cargo & Logistics Forum which includes sessions that explore the digitisation of businesses, the shift to e-commerce and logistics in the GCC region.

 

140 companies are expected to exhibit across the defence, space, business and aviation sectors, with already confirmed companies being; Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, UAE Space Agency, BAE Systems, Bell Helicopter, Leonardo, Etihad Engineering, and MENA Aerospace.

BIAS will also host an what it promises is ‘an impressive static showcase’.
