Bahrain Airshow: PICTURE: F18 kicks off the show with a bang

It's loud. It's impressive. Photographer Ian Billinghurst captures the moment that the US Navy F-18 booms into the show on a low but high speed pass along the flightline. He captures the F-18F Super Hornet right at the speed of sound. The adiabatic expansion cools the air just enough to condense the water in the air.
