Airex 2012: Lineage 1000 makes Turkish debut

Brazilian manufacturer Embraer is showing off its Lineage 1000 to the coungry for the first time.
The MENA region is the world’s largest region for the ultra-large jet.
Embraer is participating in the international civil aviation and airport exhibition, Airex 2012 taking place at Atatürk Airport, in Istanbul until Sunday.
The company is promoting its entire business aircraft portfolio as well as its customer services and solutions.
The Lineage 1000 is accompanied on the static display by the light Phenom 300 as well as the large Legacy 650 with the new enhanced interior.
“Turkey is a very important market for Embraer Executive Jets since it is the geographic and economic centre of the Eurasian market and Airex constitutes a unique rendezvous at which to present our aircraft solutions,” said Colin Steven, Embraer vice president, marketing and sales – Europe, Africa and the Middle East,. “Embraer Executive Jets, along with Delta Aerospace, Embraer Executive Jets’ authorized sales representative, sees huge potential in the Turkey and Eurasian markets which have seen a steady growth in executive aviation. Meeting customer needs is the focus of the design of Embraer’s executive jets, which enjoy great acceptance, worldwide.
The Lineage 1000, Embraer’s largest executive jet, can carry 19 passengers in five cabin zones. Its range of 4,400 nautical miles (8,149 kilometres) with eight passengers or 4,500 nautical miles (8,334 kilometres) with four passengers, both with NBAA IFR fuel reserves, means that the jet is able to fly nonstop from Istanbul to New York.
In addition to the Lineage, of special interest is the 2012 edition of the Legacy 650 with its new Legacy 650 interior, seen as the leading edge of interior changes for the Embraer Executive Jet portfolio. The Legacy 650 three-cabin capacity allows up to 14 passengers to work or rest in a spacious area. A fully-equipped wet galley and the largest in-flight accessible baggage compartment in its class are other value-added highlights. In the new interior, cabin noise levels are reduced significantly with a state-of-the-art sound insulation package.
In June, the Phenom 300 light executive jet was certified and delivered in Turkey.
