ADS, the UK Trade organisation for the aerospace, defence, security and space industries, will be continuing its promotion of the UK defence and security industry’s interests in Jordan and the Middle East through managing the UK trade pavilion at SOFEX 2012, held May 8-10 at the King Abdullah I Airbase in Amman, Jordan.

Currently 27 UK companies ranging through Primes, Mid-Caps and Small Medium Sized Enterprises are exhibiting at SOFEX. Thirteen of these will be exhibiting on the UK Pavilion in Hall 1 A125.

Gordon Lane, managing director defence at ADS (pictured), said: “The UK has long been known both for the quality of its special forces and for the equipment supplied by industry. This is clearly demonstrated through the high level of diverse expertise present in the UK contingent of exhibitors, through products such as the night vision sights of Qioptiq or the trauma medicines of Prometheus Medical. The Middle East is very much a priority market for UK Defence and Security companies, and our industry has the capabilities to be an effective partner, and a proven willingness to invest in these markets.”
