Bahrain Airshow: UK and US technology shows how the spy in the sky works

At the British Army demonstration area, visitors have been able to watch the soldiers gather full motion video through the integrated stabilized TASE LT gimbal provided by Goodrich’s Cloud Cap Technology team and view it in near real-time on the intelligence exploitation system, which allows dissemination to multiple sources.
The stabilized camera within the gimbal was remotely controlled by the British Army team via a wireless hand controller.
The full motion video captured was transmitted, via WiFi, directly to the exploitation system allowing the audience to see, almost immediately, what can be seen from the camera within AESIR Ltd.’s VTOL UAV.
Sam Macleod, Managing Director for Goodrich ISR Systems in Malvern, UK, said, “Having the British Army demonstrating ISR Systems’ and AESIR’s technologies gives us an opportunity to show how we can provide innovative and cost effective solutions in support of reach-forward surveillance for armed forces and civilian authorities."
