The agreement was signed between Ali Ahmed Al Naqbi, Founding Chairman of MEBAA, and Robert Chenson, Chief Executive Officer of Kenyon International.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kenyon International will provide integrated training courses in crisis and emergency management in the aviation field, in addition to preparing training programs tailored for the use and benefit of MEBAA members. The courses will be hosted by Gulf Center for Aviation Studies (GCAS) and will include setting up of contingency plans by private aviation operators in the region.

“The agreement with Kenyon International marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to improve emergency readiness and response in private aviation,” Al Naqbi said. “As the umbrella body for the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa, MEBAA is always looking for opportunities to strengthen our collective capabilities, and we believe it is our fundamental duty to ensure that our members are adequately trained and prepared to tackle emergency situations.”

He added: “Safety and security should be the No. 1 priority for every operator in the aviation industry. In today’s rapidly changing environment, it is critical for private operators to step up their strategies to the next level of preparedness and have in place the appropriate safeguards to ensure quick recovery and continuity of business in the event of an unforeseen crisis. The strategic-level courses offered by Kenyon will allow our members to identify potential risk factors and empower them to anticipate, avoid and resolve crisis and emergency situations effectively.”

Chenson said: “The Middle East and North Africa is witnessing significant growth in private aviation as a result of the continued development in the region across critical industry sectors. It is very important therefore to prepare and train personnel working in this crucial sector and provide them with the best equipment and experience to be able to manage emergency situations and in order to cater for the sustained growth of the industry.”
