MD83 offers greater choice from Bahrain charter market

Bahrain-based MENA Aerospace - as reported on this week's Arabian Aerospace radio - is formally introducing a VIP-configured MD83 airliner to its charter fleet operating from Bahrain International Airport

The aircraft is being leased from Blue Line, a leading European VIP charter provider. The aircraft is configured with either sixty Business First seats or fifty-four Business First seats in a two cabin configuration with club seating in the forward cabin, and Business First class through the rest of the aircraft.

The aircraft will be based at Bahrain International Airport in order to serve the region from a central location.

Ralph Eisenschmid, MENA Aerospace Enterprises group Chief Operating Officer said: “This aircraft represents a unique product offering for the region, and we are pleased to be working with Blue Line. Based on preliminary indications received so far, there is a lot of serious interest in this aircraft. We expect very strong charter activity and we look forward to working with Blue Line towards adding more similar aircraft over time.”
