Dubai 2011: Hawker Beechcraft beefs up 400XPR offering

The manufacturer offers customised XPR upgrade packages for existing aircraft owners and has announced that it will increase scheduled production of its Hawker 400XPR programme, after the originally planned line sold out.
The 400XPR is a factory-direct aircraft upgrade programme for the Beechjet 400 that enhances the type with Hawker’s own winglets, Williams International FJ44-4A-32 dual FADEC high-bypass turbofans, plus optional Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21avionics. Certification of the engines and winglets is expected for the end of June 2012.
Christi Tannahill, Hawker’s vice president GCS said: “We’ve seen an amazing amount of interest from customers seeking a turnkey option in our XPR programmes.”
HBC has also announced that it will help customers to source and buy airframes for installation of applicable XPR updates and any other customer-specific options. The package also includes full-factory warranty and support.
The manufacturer says that the XPR types are slated to offer a 32% reduction in Honeywell’s minimum maintenance service plan (MSP) costs thanks to major periodic inspections of 3,000 hours and core zone inspection intervals of 6,000 hours as compared to 2,100 and 4,200 respectively on the original engines.
The 800XPR upgrade qualifies for zero-cost enrolment in Honeywell’s MSP.
