The demonstration will showcase the 4,750 nm Falcon 900LX large cabin trijet and offer an opportunity for Dassault customers and operators in the region to have hands-on experience with the aircraft.

This Middle East demonstration reflects the increasing importance of the regional business jet market and rising customer interest. The 50th anniversary of the first Falcon provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the current range of Falcon business jets and enable guests to see the Falcon jets for themselves, and even experience a test flight.

More than 60 Dassault Falcon business jets are currently in operation around the Middle East and the fleet size is expected to grow by 10% over the next 12 months.

Dassault sees the market for business jets recovering across the region, helped by the rebounding economy, the emergence of new large regional operators and the increased globalization of regional commerce.

The company continues to expand its Middle East sales and support network to serve this market. In addition to the Dubai office, the network includes Authorized Service Centers in Dubai and Jeddah, a spares distribution centre in Dubai and a technical office in Jeddah.

The eight-passenger Falcon 20, one of the first executive jets designed from the outset for business use, made its maiden flight on May 4 1963.

Since 1963, Dassault has developed 20 different Falcon models and delivered 2,250 aircraft in more than 80 countries. During those years, it has introduced many industry “firsts,” including the first Head-Up Display, supercritical wing design and fly by wire controls used on a business jet, all inherited from Dassault fighter designs.

Today, close to 2,000 Falcons are in operation around the world, including some 300 Falcon 20s.

The current Dassault Falcon range of business jets comprises the Falcon 900LX and 7X trijets and the twin-engine 2000LX, 2000LXS and Falcon 2000S.

The Falcon 900 was the first large-cabin Falcon and the first to be equipped with Dassault’s EASy cockpit, an intuitive man-machine interface with large format flat screens and simplified commands that improve safety by placing greater emphasis on human factors.
