Bombardier Aerospace will touch down at the Dubai Airshow with an impressive line-up that includes five of its industry-leading products, as well as an interactive, state-of-the-art dome pavilion.

Attesting to the growing importance of the Middle East and Africa marketplace, Bombardier will feature a broad spectrum of its innovative products, technical expertise, and superior customer support and aircraft maintenance services. On static display will be five airplanes from Bombardier’s portfolio of business and commercial aircraft, including the midsize Learjet 60 XR aircraft, the super midsize Challenger 300 jet, the wide-body Challenger 605 jet,the large cabin Challenger 850 jet and the Q400 NextGen airliner.  

Business Aircraft   
Business aviation in the Middle East is experiencing sustained growth. Bombardier’s latest market forecast for the aviation industry predicts a total delivery of 1,175 business jet deliveries destined for the Middle East over the next 20 years. With a solid fleet of business jets in the region, Bombardier’s Learjet , Challenger and Global jets are all represented.  

Commercial Aircraft    
Bombardier forecasts that the Middle East will continue to offer the potential to play a key role in the transformation of the aviation industry. Middle East carriers have consistently reported increased annual revenues and enplanements. While starting from a small base, Africa and Middle East deliveries will capture seven per cent, or 980, of the total 13,100 deliveries expected in the next 20 years, of aircraft in the 20- to 149-seat market segments.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft already has a strong presence in the region with more than 180 CRJ regional jets and Dash-8 /Q-Serie s aircraft in service or on firm order.  

Bombardier will showcase full-scale cabin and cockpit demonstrators of the CSeries jetliner. It will be the first public showing of the cockpit demonstrator. Designed for the growing 100- to 149-seat market, the 100% new CSeries family of aircraft combines advanced materials, leading-edge technology and proven methods to meet commercial airline requirements in 2013 and beyond Powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1500G engines, the CSeries aircraft family will offer a 15% cash operating cost advantage and a 20% fuel burn advantage.

The CSeries family of aircraft’s clean-sheet design is ensuring that it will achieve greatly reduced noise and emissions, as well as superior operational flexibility, exceptional airfield performance and a range of 2,950 nm (5,463 km). The CSeries aircraft will be up to 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg) lighter than other aircraft in the same seat category and will provide passengers with a best-in-class, widebody cabin environment in a single-aisle aircraft.

Learjet 60 XR : In service since July 2007, the Learjet 60 XR aircraft is a proven model of performance, comfort, value and versatility in the midsize jet market segment. It delivers a high cruise speed of Mach 0.81 (861 km/hr), superior climb capabilities, proven fuel efficiency and low direct operating costs per nautical mile. The jet’s higher operating altitudes – certified to 51,000 ft (15,545 m) – translate to time savings due to better winds, less traffic and less turbulence. The Learjet 60 XR aircraft can fly from Dubai to Moscow and Dubai to Athens non-stop with four passengers and two crew.  

Challenger 300 : A bespoke customer-designed aircraft, the Challenger 300 jet offers transcontinental range and superior long-range cruise speed with eight passengers. It can fly Dubai-Beijing non-stop with a full payload, and its superior airfield performance allows the aircraft to operate out of 5,000-foot (1,524-m) runways with ease. The Challenger 300 business jet offers the best performance and value amongst its competitors and has consistently exceeded customer expectations. With over 300 Challenger 300 jets in service, it is the market leader amongst its peers.  

Challenger 605 : Featuring the widest stand-up cabin of any large category business jet available today, the Challenger 605 jet builds on the legacy of quality and reliability of its predecessor, the acclaimed Challenger 604 jet, leading its market share segment throughout the world. The Challenger 605 jet can whisk eight passengers and two crew from Dubai to Tokyo or Dubai to London non-stop.  

Challenger 850 : The Challenger 850 aircraft combines the proven performance and value of the Challenger business jet with the outstanding dependability of a CRJ200 airliner. The Challenger 850 aircraft is a unique solution for executive requirements offering unparalleled flexibility and comfort, taking advantage of the widebody cabin, reliability and maintainability of its airliner heritage. Q400 NextGen : Optimised for short-haul operations, the “comfortably greener,” 70- to 80-seat Q400 NextGen aircraft is a large, fast, quiet and fuel-efficient turboprop. It provides an ideal balance of passenger comfort and operating economics with a reduced environmental footprint. Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft, which are in service with more than 30 operators worldwide, have transported more than 167 million passengers and have logged more than 3 million flight hours and over 3.3 million take-offs and landings.
