Balkar quits as MEBAA president

President and CEO of MEBAA - the Middle East Business Aviation Association - Ammar Balkar has announced his resignation from the post today.

In an email to members by Balkar issued today he said: "After three years with MEBAA as President and CEO, I have decided to resign from my post and concentrate on my current post as President & CEO of Elite Jet during this challenging period.

"On this note, I would like to thank you all for your support during my time with MEBAA, my three years in this post were full of excitement and challenges, wishing you all the best in the coming years."

MEBAA has not yet named a successor to Balkar who was formerly the marketing head of Royal Jet in Abu Ahabi before heading up Elite Jets in Dubai.
