BAe 146-300 has Titan role in the Gulf

The aircraft is based in Bahrain and flies several times a week between Bahrain, Muscat in Oman and Minhad in the United Arab Emirates. The requirement is to transport around 45 passengers and freight on these sectors.
 
Gene Willson, Chief Executive of Titan Airways said  “We had to work around the clock over the past few weeks with our colleagues from BAE Systems to structure a lease that worked commercially and yet provided the MoD with the required capability at very short notice.”
 
Steve Doughty, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing for BAE Systems Asset Management business added: “We recently announced our intention to offer the BAe 146M to the world’s military air transport market and so we were particularly keen to ensure that Titan Airways was given all the help we could muster to provide a compelling, flexible and operational package to help them win this contract. The BAe 146 is an ideal aircraft for just this type of military transport operation.”
 
The MoD contract with Titan Airways is for an initial six months, with an option to extend.
 
Titan Airways is a long established UK charter and ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) operator, having been founded 21 years ago. Among its current fleet are four BAe 146QT/QC freighters, one of which is available for sale and being marketed exclusively by BAE Systems Asset Management.
