AJA quicker routing with new ETOPS approvals

“ This is another great achievement by AJA and shows the continued attention to operational detail and continued improvement in operations standards, “ said AJA’s Dr Mark Pierotti. “This approval not only testifies the operational integrity of AJA but enables AJA to serve our VIP customers better with shorter flight times to distant destinations.”
ETOPS is an acronym for extended operations and effectively means the length of time that a twin-engined aircraft has to be from the nearest airport. With the 120 minutes ETOPS approvals, the AJA Elite is permitted to fly any route, as long as it is always within 120 minutes flying time to the nearest airport. This has no direct correlation to water or distance over water. It refers to single-engine flight times between diversion airfields, regardless as to whether such fields are separated by water or land.
