Aerovista steps up evacuation flights

Dubai-based Aerovista is working in support of aviation partners as evacuation flights from Iraq increase.

Key players in the oil and gas industry have already started or completed their evacuation operations to bring their personnel to safety. Increasing the sense of urgency,

US President Barack Obama has now authorized airstrikes to protect US personnel as well as the airdrop of humanitarian aid; this announcement was made the previous Friday with no end date being given.
Dubai-based Aerovista will be providing emergency evacuation charters in Iraq. One of Aerovista’s newly acquired B737-300 will be used during these operations. This B737-300 is fitted with air stairs which facilitate the evacuation process not only in Iraq but to airports which may not be well equipped.
Commenting on the evacuation process Dmitriy Korshunov, Aerovista CCO, saidd “it was a very short notice, difficult evacuation but we have done everything to accommodate this request and depart as planned”. Mr Korshunov elaborated that “as with any flight, safety and efficient planning were paramount.” Aerovista will be providing further emergency evacuation charters, as the need arises, with its well-equipped aircraft and professional crew.
Aerovista has a well-documented history of operating emergency evacuations. Aerovista has previously operated evacuation flights during the 2001 Afghanistan operations, 2003 Iraqi post war conflict and most recently in 2011 during the Arab Spring. Aerovista draws on past experience and its expertise in charting aircraft for the upcoming evacuation flights.
