The new offices in the Freezone  brings together the teams from Thales’s regional Middle East and local UAE offices.

Operational- and key project teams are now co-located in the same office,   which the company says will generateg increased synergies and a stronger footprint to capture and deliver current and future business.
With over 500 people employed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the UAE is the cornerstone of Thales’s development in the Middle East. The numerous business successes in all four of the Group’s business segments – Aerospace and Space, Defence, Security – have allowed Thales to become a competitive and trusted partner of valued customers such as the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) and the DCAA (Dubai Civil Aviation Authority).

“We are delighted that a premiere firm like Thales is now part of our economic cycle and we invite all French and European Firms to benefit from the well developed infrastructure & services Dubai Airport Freezone renders”, said H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Airport Freezone and President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.

“Based on the Dubai Government long-term strategy and the leadership instructions, we shall throw our weight behind foreign firms targeting regional markets to enhance global trade. This has been practically proved as we see many European and American multinational Firms seeking opportunities to establish their operations in the Free Zones and elsewhere in the country”, added Sheikh Ahmed.

Olivier Badard, President and CEO of Thales International Middle East & Western Asia said: “Throughout our 10 years presence in the Dubai Airport Freezone, its role as a business enabler and catalyst has been instrumental in our successful development throughout the region”.

Patrick Oszczeda, Thales Country Director of the UAE, said, “Thales is grateful to be able to benefit from an ideal regulatory and operational business environment provided by the Dubai Airport Freezone. We trust that the increased synergies and being closer to our key customers and partners will be beneficial for both our employees and our customers.”
