RJ takes delivery of leased A330 to bridge the Dreamliner gap

Royal Jordanian will take delivery today of its third Airbus A330 which is has leased to plug a capacity gap while it awaits the delayed arrival of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner

The Amman-based carrier is also undergoing a fleet renewal and is phasing out its final two A310-300s.

The latest arrival is a 2009 dash 200s series leased from Amentum Capital and previously operated by Nigeria's Arik Air. Royal Jordanian is understood to be  taking it on a long-term operating lease until January 2017. It will operate in a 24 business/259 economy class configuration.
