Dubai 2011: Tailor-made insurance brings benefits to MEBAA members

After five years in the planning, the MEBAA aviation insurance scheme (MAIS), which will have its official launch at the Dubai Airshow, will be available to members of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA).
From November 15 the scheme will provide members with a single contact for all their aviation insurance requirements. Coverage available includes hull & spares all risks, third-party and passenger liability, premises liability, products and hangar keepers liability, crew/passengers personal accident/loss of license, and hull & spares war and allied perils.
ADNIC, the region’s major aviation insurance provider, has prepared the scheme in alliance with selected international reinsurance partners and reinsurance brokers Willis Aerospace to provide a bespoke reinsurance package aimed at giving the most preferred terms and conditions for MEBAA members.
Ali Al Naqbi, founding chairman of MEBAA, said: “The agreement marks the culmination of five years of effort to secure a credible insurance package for regional operators that offers an attractive value proposition.
MEBAA is committed to create new opportunities and resources to support the growth of business aviation in the Middle East and the introduction of MAIS marks yet another significant step in our ongoing efforts to improve risk and liability management within our industry.”
