Air Botswana seeks to settle $500k CAAB fee dispute

The state-owned carrier's marketing manager, Thapelo Moribame said that they have asked CAAB to justify the BWP5.1 million pula (USD500,556) being claimed for 2014.
The carrier argues CAAB had computed the fees based on load sheets and the numbers of passengers on each flight without adjusting for transit passengers.
Air Botswana's general manager, Ben Dahwa, has since commented that officials from either side have met and that "discussions are ongoing."
The carrier is in the midst of a privatization drive with government currently considering proposals from seventeen parties interested in partnering the airline.
