Strike action affects EgyptAir flights

Strike action by ground handling staff at Cairo International airport terminal 3, has led to severe delays for national carrier EgyptAir.

Earlier today an airline official said the airline is working hard on serving all the delayed flights. He confirmed the airline has operated 52 international and domestic flights of which 30 flights were scheduled for yesterday and 22 flights as scheduled for today. Moreover, a number of flights were merged through enlarging a number of aircraft types in order to serve the customers.

The official confirmed that a large portion of baggage was received by the customers after the arrival of their flights and that steps were in place to deliver  the rest of the baggage.
