Queen Alia Airport traffic continues to grow
Airport International Group the consortium operating Queen Alia Airport in Jordan has reported that QAIA registered growth in January's traffic performance with almost 389,000 passengers, compared to around 368,462 passengers in January 2010, translating into a 5.6% year-over-year increase.

Aircraft movement reported a 3.6% growth with 4,982 aircraft movements in January 2011 compared to 4,811 in January 2010. Also, January 2011 cargo registered an increase of 6.5% with 6,940 tonnes compared to 6,515 tonnes in January 2010.
The airport is currently undergoinbg a major development building new gates and a new terminal to meet the massive growth Jordan is experiencing.
