The RSO will boost service levels for Bombardier’s growing number of Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft clients in the Middle East and Africa.

Andy Nureddin, vice president, customer services and support, Bombardier Business Aircraft said: “It is crucial that our growing customer base in this key part of the world has ready access to a fully integrated RSO.”

There are already two field service representatives (FSRs) and a customer support account manager on site, with a customer liaison pilot and additional FSRs due to join the team in 2011.

The new office is part of the OEM’s drive to bring aircraft technical expertise and customer account management functions closer to its customers as it makes further inroads into the EMEA region. Bombardier is a market leader in the Gulf, with its aircraft accounting for more than 23 per cent of local deliveries in the past five years.

The new office is the sixth Bombardier support centre to open outside North America in the past three years, augmenting a network that encompasses: Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, Shanghai and Munich. Nureddin added: “This new RSO is part of our aggressive plan to move closer to our customers, improve response times and build stronger relationships around the globe.”
