DXB expects growth with two new airlines

Dubai International said it expects its passenger traffic to rise following the launch of services by two new airlines, the addition of a new destinations and an increase in frequency of existing services, in the second quarter of 2009.

The airport now plays host to Toumai Air Tchad, a private airline that is also the national carrier of the Republic of Chad in Africa, while Hainan Airlines from China is scheduled to launch its Dubai service from May 25.

Jet Airways, which started services to Dubai last summer and has daily flights to Mumbai and Delhi, will launch a new route to Chennai, and added another daily flight to Mumbai on April 23.
