This extended collaboration follows an agreement signed during the MEBA 2012 (Middle East Business Aviation Airshow) between Dubai World Central (DWC), Al Habtoor Trading and Altran. The 2012 agreement ratified the concept of The Wings Valley, an innovative MRO centre dedicated to business aviation within Dubai World Central, which is planned to be the largest airport in the world.

Accessible from a VIP terminal, the Aviation District will be designed in such a way as to make it the very heart of corporate aviation in Dubai. Business-jet and helicopter owners will have access to a complete range of services (such as standard maintenance services, cabin design, technology implementation and connectivity) in a single location. Priority will be on offering a 'one stop shop' service in the shortest turnaround time possible.

A first selection of aviation industry majors will be made for the official launch, before the Dubai Airshow in November 2013. Altran will be responsible for high-service package definition, represent DWC in all tenant-contact matters and supervise the pool of international training institutes for qualified engineers, technicians and managers in the different areas involved.

We have a good match that brings something unique to help grow the Dubai World Central" - declared Khalid Ibrahim, Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Communications at of Dubai World Central.

Philippe Salle, chief executive of the Altran Group said: "Driven by Altran, the Wings Valley concept is now becoming a reality for Dubai World Central, thanks to the Group's accurate knowledge of the needs and opportunities in the aeronautics market. Only Altran, as global leader in engineering and advanced technology, has been capable of anticipating the very specific requirements of private aviation. The Wings Valley has become a label that can now be envisaged for other strategic regions."
