Beirut Airport continues to grow its passenger numbers

Rafik Hariri International Airport has continued its dramatic growth towards full capacity.

The Beirut gateway reported an 11.14% increase in passenger traffic in the first eight months of the year, after 3.7 passengers passed through the airport.
The Lebanese Civil Aviation's Statistics Bureau said 578,452 travellers were handled by the airport ln August, which was a 5.63% drop from the same month last year.
It also said the number of local, Arab and foreign airlines that operated flights to and from the airport reached 7,319 last month, a 1.19% rise from last year.
