Baggage handling contract for Amman goes to Pteris Global

Singapore headquartered Pteris Global has been awarded the baggage handling contract at Queen Alia International Airport

The contract worth 11.8m million includes the design and build of the entire baggage handling system for Jordan’s main international Airport 20 miles outside the capital,  Amman.

This is the second project awarded to the Pteruis after the successful completion of another project in the existing terminal.

The work for this new airport terminal, designed to handle 9 million passengers per annum, is to design, build, install and commission the arrival and departure systems. This includes a complete integration of hold bag security screening system and high-level control software systems and is scheduled to handover in 2011.

Pteris has already been successful on projects at Dubai International Airport, Cairo, King Fahd Airport in Riyadh and the new airport in Doha.
