Airport Systems conference in Sharm el Shaikh to be headlined by Arinc

“Self service, self boarding, and off-airport passenger and baggage processing are all making a major contribution to the passenger experience,” said Jelloul Hamrouni, ARINC Middle East Business Development Director.” But these key technologies are developing rapidly and airports must choose their IT investments carefully, with an eye to meeting both future and current needs.”

Also taking part in the training session will be Dr. Ian Bache, ARINC Middle East Senior Programs Manager. “Management needs to focus on three broad areas for maximum return,” states Bache. “Automation and mobility to make the most of airport space and off-airport affiliations; integration to combine best-of-breed applications across the airport; and a proper infrastructure to share technology and communications costs.”

The ARINC training session on December 7 will include a brief historical perspective on common-use passenger handling, from its beginnings through the industry’s recently approved CUPPS technology standard.

The upcoming Domestic and Regional Airport Summit will bring together more than 150 aviation experts debating the latest issues facing the industry. The Summit is a platform tailored for global leaders in domestic airports to discover new horizons, create robust alliances, close business deals, and foster business partnerships.

The Summit is scheduled at the Savoy-Sharm Resort, Sharm Al Shaikh, Egypt, December 7-8. It is open only to senior level decision makers, chairmen, presidents, and CEOs from selected organisations.
