Zimbabwe Flyafrica remains grounded
Zimbabwe Flyafrica is to remain grounded by Harare court until it has resolve outstanding regulatory issues, ch-aviation reports.

The carrier’s partner Chakanyuka Karase surrendered its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) after Flyafrica filed fraud charges against a member of the Karase family.
Flyafrica has been ordered to address irregularities uncovered by CAAZ’s audit.
"Local rules and regulations must be observed by applicant instead of crying foul against CAAZ knowing full well its house is not in order. Without attending to the issues, which also include managerial concerns, the suspension will not be uplifted," the Herald quoted Justice Tsanga’s ruling.
It was discovered that despite the carrier being registered in Zimbabwe, control of its operations lay in South Africa, both of its aircraft were based out of Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, as well as lacking an accountable manager and local head of maintenance.
