This will expand their existing joint program of comprehensive maintenance and operating support for private VIP-converted Bombardier CRJ aircraft.

Launched in 2008, the Lufthansa Technik and eJet Services joint program offers low-utilization and small fleet operators a comprehensive, global package of nose-to-tail maintenance and operating support.

The companies say they will provide owners and operators with lower, more predictable costs, fleet-based purchasing and efficiency, and 24/7 support through eJet's maintenance and engineering support centre. eJet and Lufthansa Technik offer a unique cost-per-flight-hour program for first-generation Bombardier CRJ that cover engines, avionics, rotables, landing gear, auxiliary power units, wheels and brakes.  All key systems are covered, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and environmental components.

The joint program is both JAR OPS and FAA Part 21 compliant.

This latest move broadens the programme to include small airlines. The joint product is ideal for small-fleet
operations (including sub-fleets of major airlines) which do not have sufficient volume to enroll aircraft in traditional fixed-cost maintenance programs. eJet's maintenance control capability will augment existing engineering and maintenance planning functions in these small fleet operations, allowing the carriers to leverage the global capability of Lufthansa Technik. In addition, the joint product is also projected for the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families of aircraft operated as both private VIP operators and small airlines.

Wolfgang Weynell, Lufthansa Technik's Vice President Marketing and Sales says "With eJet we now support small charter and scheduled airlines with fixed-cost maintenance programs with same exacting standards that Lufthansa Technik's applies to larger carriers. Our joint product provides access to fleet based pricing and support while providing the personalised VIP service demanded by this market segment."
