Airbus A350 XWB engines powered up ahead of first flight

The A350 XWB is the all-new mid-size long range product line comprising three versions and seating between 270 and 350 passengers in typical three-class layouts.
The new type has a promising future in Africa.Airbus is proposing the A350XWB to SAA for its future long-haul fleet, and Ethiopian Airlines has already ordered the A350XWB for its fleet modernisation.
There is also special interest in the progress of the programme as South African suppliers, Aerosud (based in Centurion) and Cobham South Africa (in Cape Town), manufacture components and systems for the A350XWB.
