MEBA10: Avjet Routing celebrates an “exceptional year”
One company keen to celebrate “an exceptional year” of strong growth at MEBA is Avjet Routing.

The UAE-licensed company is a leading supplier of international flight support services for business aviation. It arranges, co-ordinates and provides complete services in support of business aircraft operators worldwide.
“We are ready to meet the growth in demand for flight services in the Arabian Gulf,” said CEO, Sam Wanli (pictured).
“It has been a year of strong growth for us. Private jets owned by VIPs has increased in the Middle East despite the general recession. We felt the demand for cost-effective trip support services in the region and, therefore, we established a 24-hour trip-support-service (TSS) team who work to meet all client needs.”
Overheads
Wanli added: “We have approximately 20 years’ experience in helping clients cut down on unnecessary overhead expenditures and providing last-minute solutions. Using the TSS team, clients can get over-flight and landing permits, comprehensive ground-handling arrangements and fuel uplifts for their flight, start to finish, even if their request is at short-notice. Our clients are always impressed we have the capability to support any aircraft, any request, at any time and at any corner of the globe.
“We know exactly how to obtain all necessary clearances and meet the requirements of any CAA. After all, our motto is ‘experience with a pulse’.
Wanli added the company provides services to clients on a 100 per cent credit basis, eliminating the need for carriers to have up-front finance before a flight can operate. These include: fuel supply, ground-handling, over-flight and landing clearances, aircraft chartering, flight planning, and weather services.
“One of the unique services we provide is flight supervision, which is vital for carriers to smooth their operations and save ground time. Our clients are very comfortable knowing that the operation is in safe hands,” said Wanli.
Contracts
The company has managed a number of new contracts this year with new organisations joining its AV-Global Network. It has also seen large growth and says the Middle East is an important region.
“We have experienced the flight support business closely and we see a lot of potential in the next five years. Hence, we shall keep investing in our own experience in this field, especially in the Middle East,” said Wanli.
“The political and economic situation of a region is the main factor that influences the growth of the flight support business. Private jet ownership in the Gulf Region has increased, despite the general recession. However, the demand for cost-effective trip support services in the region has been the largest part of this increase. Taking this into consideration we planned accordingly; we signed many partnership agreements and opened offices in most strategic locations to facilitate our mission and match the growth in demand. This has enabled us to provide a global flight support network in very cost-effective manner.”
The company is located at Sharjah Airport International Free-Zone (SAIF-Zone).
“We chose Sharjah five years ago to start our business venture because it was an ideal business hub in the Emirates and it is still a free-zone. The five offices side by side with AV-Global Network provide flight support services on a worldwide level,” said Wanli.
Customers
Avjet customers include aircraft owners and operators, VIPs, heads of state, and air charter companies featuring private jet operators; corporate jet operators; VIP flight operators; passenger flight operators; ambulance flight services; helicopter operators and aviation services companies.
Wanli said: “We are at MEBA to show that, even with our understanding of the recent uncontrollable economic factors, combined with the strategic steps we took to accommodate the situation, it has given Avjet Routing a big advantage and enabled us to provide cost-effective flight support services in an efficient manner without any reduction in the quality of the services. Therefore, it has been no surprise to see remarkable improvements in our performance in 2010 and we are very pleased to report that we have had an exceptional year.”
