AIME / MRO Day 1 - Show Wrap

The co-located AIME-MRO Middle East event opened in Dubai today and Jill Stockbridge presents the highlights of the first day, with the support of Joramco.
 

HRH Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum chairman and CEO of the Emirates Group, the Dubai Airports Company and the Civil Aviation Authority welcomed visitors from across the region.

There will be more activity in the UAE with the Mohammad bin Rashid Aerospace Hub announcing partnerships that will see interiors refurbishment and paint facilities developed in Dubai South very soon.

Meanwhile SAEI announced collaboration with Liebherr Aerospace for support at its new million square meter MRO Village and Jet Propulsion Centre in Jeddah.

Digitalisation across the aerospace segment was a hot topic on the opening day and Boeing's president for the region outlined why the increased digital health monitoring is literally saving billions and as the industry recovers from the Covid impact it is back as a key action point for airlines.
