Dubai Airshow prepares to open to the world

The Dubai Airshow – one of the few major aerospace events in the world to not have to cancel its event during the past two years – is all all set to welcome back the world.

As doors open on Sunday the industry is converging on the UAE.

And the TATV team was bedded in ready to cover all of the major news as all the final preparations were underway.

The Boeing 777X makes its international at the show where it was launched 8 years ago, while Russia brings the fighter jet of the future – the Checkmate – to be seen outside of Russia for the first time.

Deals were being done – as Bestfly orders a further ATR 72-600 for its Cape Verde operation and make the crossover with an order for an Embraer E190  - with the promise of more to come.

Industry analyst, Rob Watts, ACC’s director of consulting, shares his thoughts on what we can expect from the show.

Jill Stockbridge also discovers what one lucky buyer will find with an ACJ business on sale at the show.
