TATV Defence Monthly: training, partnerships and collaborations

Qatar’s joint Hawk Training Squadron with the UK’s RAF has been formally stood up and TATV’s Defence Editor Jon Lake was at RAF Leeming to meet the architects of this new partnership between the Royal Air Force and the Qatari Emiri Air Force.

Keeping up the training theme to this month’s show, Alan Peaford talks to Marc Olivier Sabourin from CAE about the Canadian company’s development of synthetic training and how it is impacting the training practices in the region.

Defence partnership and collaboration was a key element at the Dubai Airshow and Jon Lake talked to Gerry Mayhew, the deputy commander of operations at the RAF and Mark Goldsack, director of the UK’s department for international trade, defence and security organisation about the importance of such relationships.

This TATV programme is brought to you with the support of the World Defense Show.
