With a wealth of entertainment, culture, and activity options available, Abu Dhabi is enjoying being a vibrant Emirate and has become an attractive short break destination for residents of Kuwait and other GCC countries.

Singapore Airlines is one carrier looking to take advantage of this, with its four weekly Abu Dhabi - Kuwait services, as the airline initiated a joint promotional campaign between its offices and partners in the UAE and Kuwait for the month of July to boost exchange between the two countries.

The national carrier of Singapore services the route with a new state-of-the-art wide-bodied Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with inclined-flat seats in business class, intelligent design features and additional personal space and comfort in economy class, as well as a world-class on-demand in-flight entertainment system boasting over 1,000 entertainment options, and iPod and iPhone connectivity.

This summer travellers from the GCC and other destinations can enjoy attractions including Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s ‘Summer in Abu Dhabi family festival which runs throughout the UAE capital and Al Ain until August 4th with headline acts at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), fun activities in ADNEC’s Hall 11 and entertainment in malls throughout both cities.

Ahmed Hussein, Deputy Director General, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority commented: “Additional air access from Kuwait is particularly welcome as the number of hotel guests Abu Dhabi is receiving from this GCC partner country is showing particular promise. Kuwait now ranks as our top 20 market for hotel guests accounting, in the first five months of this year for 3,571 guests which is a 54% rise on the same period last year.”
Hussein added: “We believe our appeal for Kuwaitis can only grow with the opening on October 28th of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s largest indoor theme park.”
