Somon Air begins two-weekly regular service from Tajikstan to Jeddah

Somon Air, the independent airline of Tajikistan is to add Jeddah to its route map

It already flies to Dubai from Dushanbe but from next Friday (May 6) will continue on to Jeddah. The flights will be once every two weeks and will utilise a Boeing 737-800

The carrier will operate one flight every two weeks from Dushanbe to Jeddah via Dubai from 8 May.

The airline has previously served the Saudi city but only during the Hajj season.

The company currently operates a total of 15 routes with its three aircraft fleet. Out of Dushanbe airport Somon Air operates to Frankfurt am Main (Germany), Dubai (U.A.E), Istanbul (Turkey), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Urumqi (China) including the Russian cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Orenburg and to the north part of Tajikistan, the city of Khujand.
In addition there are regular flights out of the city of Khujand to Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg.
