Air Senegal launches Dakar hub
Air Senegal has announced the launch of its hub at Blaise Diagne international Airport of Dakar. The airline is thus making a new step forward in its growth strategy.
The international flights will now be connected to the flights operated in West Africa. Passengers flying daily from Paris will be able to continue their journey to Bamako (Mali), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Conakry (Guinea), Bissau (Guinea Bissau), Banjul (Gambia), Praia (Cape Verde) or Niamey (Niger).
"AIBD has an ideal geographic position. The hub project is now a reality thanks to the strategy implemented by Air Senegal. A passenger can fly with Air Senegal to Bamako and reach Paris via Dakar with a stopover of less than 2 hours ",says Ibrahima Kane, CEO of Air Senegal.
Air Senegal has also launched routes to several new destinations in Africa : Nouakchott (Mauritania), Abuja and Lagos (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana) and Casablanca (Morocco /as from November 26, 2019). The Senegalese airline will also operate to Marseille and Barcelona as from December 12, 2019. Other launches are scheduled: Casablanca by its A319 as from November 26. Air Senegal will soon take delivery of its second A330neo which will strengthen its long-haul network. The airline plans to launch routes to USA (New York and Washington), UK (London) and Switzerland (Geneva) by 2020. Air Senegal will also add 4 additional flights between Paris and Dakar for holiday seasons at the end of the year.
