Rolls-Royce hand over fan blade to Gulf Air at Bahrain Airshow to celebrate delivery of Dreamliner
Gulf Air has 10 aircraft on order and currently operates 4 of the ordered aircraft.
Krešimir Kučko, Gulf Air, chief executive officer, said: “We are pleased to have added the Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners into our fleet, as we look to ramp up delivery in the years to come to deliver the service our customers have come to expect.”
Gulf Air already has a fleet of widebody aircraft, the Trent 700-powered Airbus A330.
John Kelly, Rolls-Royce, senior vice-president – customers, civil aerospace added: “Gulf Air is an important customer and the addition of the Trent 1000 to its fleet will only further strengthen our successful relationship. The handover of this blade symbolises our commitment to working closely together going forward.”
