AAR to showcase its capabilities at MRO Africa Conference
AAR will present its broad array of aviation and expeditionary airlift services for commercial and government customers at African Aviation's MRO Africa Conference and Exhibition March 16-18.

Members of AAR's leadership team from the U.S., Middle East, Europe and Asia invite members of the media to learn about the company's business in Africa, the Middle East and Europe, and how its capabilities align with a projected resurgence in Africa's aviation economy.
"AAR is no stranger to Africa, we've done transactions with African airlines for the past 30 years," said David P. Storch, AAR CORP. Chairman and CEO. "The continent has abundant natural resources and a huge population, so over time we see potential for aviation growth like the Middle East has experienced during the last 20 years."
AAR currently provides component support and supply chain services for two major commercial airlines in Africa. AAR supplies cargo systems to South African Airways and recently fulfilled a contract to service landing gear on Kenya Airways' Boeing 777s. Last year, AAR announced a five-year, multimillion-dollar agreement with Kenya Airways to provide power-by-the-hour component support for its fleet of 737NG aircraft. AAR is supporting the fleet from its rotable pool support in its supply chain warehouse in Brussels, which can also provide AOG support.
With the latest Kenya Airways contract, AAR became the first aviation company to benefit from President Obama's Doing Business in Africa
initiative. Storch is a member of the president's Doing Business in Africa Advisory Council, established in 2014 as a way to close the opportunity gap between American business and emerging markets in Africa. At the same time as Africa Aviation's MRO conference, Storch, with U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary Marcus Jadotte, will host a high-level roundtable discussion on March 17 in Chicago, Illinois (U.S.A.) with a select group of individuals interested in business opportunities in Africa.
During the MRO Africa conference, AAR's Rahul Shah, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, AAR UAE, and Paul Richardson, Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa are available to meet with members of the media to talk about AAR's MRO advisory services and the rotable parts pool network of supply chain warehouses in the U.S., Singapore and Brussels.
Shah will share his insights on ensuring quality and reliability, right pricing and warranty compliance on the panel "Aircraft Components Supply and Support" on Wednesday, March 18.
Shah can also speak about AAR's MRO services for government customers. Last fall, AAR was selected by AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center) LLC, the Abu Dhabi-based Joint Venture between Mubadala Development Company, Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin, to support in the design, outfitting and integration of key areas of AMMROC's state-of-the-art aircraft MRO facility in Al Ain, UAE. The new facility will be one of the largest dedicated military MRO centers in the world.
"AAR is interested in what Africa's aviation industry has to offer, and we're committed to exploring new business opportunities and partnerships," said Shah.
