Airport Cities World Conference confirms extra speakers
Adding to the already impressive list of speakers, South Africa’s minister of transport, Benedict Martins, will be giving a speech at this years’ event.
Taking place at the Emperors Palace Hotel in the City of Ekurhuleni, South Africa from April 24-26, delegates attending ACE will also hear speeches from high-profile figures from the Airport City community, including the Chicago Department of Aviation’s commissioner Rosemarie S Andolino; Karen Campbell, Manchester Airport Group’s Airport city director; and Rimzie Ismail, head of customer affairs & service brand delivery, service development at Dubai Airports.
Other senior figures including Michael Mabuyakhulu, MEC, economic development and tourism for KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and Sibongile Mazibuko, city manager of the City of Mangaung have also confirmed they will be speaking.
The latest developments, trends, success stories and best practices from within the airport city community will be discussed by Professor John Kasarda, director of the centre for air commerce at the University of North Carolina; Jeff Fegan, CEO of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; Larry Cox, CEO of Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority; Kim Day, manager of aviation at Denver International Airport; and Rajeev Kumar Jain, CEO of Mumbai International Airport.
Conference sessions include discussions on topics such as the unique economic, geographical and cultural challenges in airport city and aerotropolis development; the relationships between stakeholders and regions; the newest airport city projects; masterplanning; investment and infrastructure development, commercial development and airport real estate; non-aeronautical revenue development; and much more.
