Manual input on the trim for fatal Flydubai crash say investigators
The Russian investigation team studying the crashed Flydubai B737-800 last month, have confirmed today that the reported substantial nose-down trim was applied through manual trim switches on the pilot's control column.
The updated analysis from the Interstate Aviation Committee said the stabiliser movement coincided with an input from the stabiliser trim switches on the control column which lasted for 12 seconds. The report said the cockpit-voice recorder also picked up the noise of the manual trim-wheels rotating.
The final report is still awaited.
