Gulf Air 320 skids off runway on landing at Kochi

One person was said to be injured in the incident which occured in the early hours on Monday morning Bahrain time.

The flight from Bahrain was carrying 137 passengers and six crew.

The Bahrain national carrier confirmed one passenger had been injured. According to The Hindu newsparper a further sis pasengers required treatment for minor injuries.

The newspaper quoted pasengers as saying the aircraft his an air pocket just before landing and that the approach was unstable.On skidding pff the runway the landing gear collapsed and passengers were evacuated using the emergency slides.

The man injured was set to have suffered several multiple fractures but is not in a critical condition.
