The Bearhawk LSA is a two-place tandem seated aircraft for sport, recreation and utility.

The first of the two was delivered to South Africa, to Wayne Giles, who plans to use the aircraft as a demonstrator for additional aircraft sales in the region.

“We are really looking forward to receiving the LSA. I have great confidence in Mr. Barrows’ designs. It is no doubt going to be another spectacular aeroplane,” said Giles.

Giles has a history of building award winning aircraft, and won this year’s prestigious “Concours d’Elegance” award at the national EAA convention for his Patrol.

He became the first to pilot a Bearhawk Patrol in South Africa, and remains a fan of his aircraft’s fast cruise speed.

The second LSA shipped to New Zealand has arrived, joining five Bearhawk and Patrol kits either completed or in assembly.

Bearhawks are known for their short field capacity, high cruise speed and gentle slow speed manners.
